Welcome to Flavia’s Flavors, my food blog.  I’m Flavia, and I love to cook, write, and take photographs.  And I love to eat.

I come from an Italian family, and I grew up around people who used food and cooking as a way to keep their traditions alive, express their love for their family, celebrate their Italian culture and nourish the people they cooked for with the freshest and best quality ingredients.  I grew up eating really, really well. 

I was born in Washington, DC, raised in Bethesda, Maryland, went to college in Québec, Canada and spent most of my summers in Italy visiting my extended family.  My kitchen can be found in Katy, Texas where I live with my husband, Peter and our sweet English Springer Spaniel, Dutch.  Peter has a big sweet tooth.  Dutch loves pancakes.

Ok, so I am not the best photographer (yet), but I'm working hard on improving my photography skills.  It's one of the reasons I started this blog.  I take all my own photographs, and they may not be used, copied, or reproduced without my express permission.
