Keep It Sweet Desserts & A Giveaway

I know it has been very quiet around here lately, and I promise I will be back soon with a new recipe. In the meantime, I am very excited to share this post {and giveaway!} with you today. Lauren Lilling is the owner and baker at Keep It Sweet Desserts, a mail order online bakery based in New York City. She is entirely self-taught and she just celebrated one year of being in business for herself. Way to go, Lauren! Keep It Sweet Desserts has been thriving since Day One. It also caught media attention very quickly and has been featured in Star Magazine, on Fox and Friends and most recently, The Today Show. Celebrity fans of her desserts include Mark Feuerstein {and the Royal Pains fans collectively swoon}, Will Forte and Vince Vaughn. Keep It Sweet Desserts was also a finalist in the 2012 Martha Stewart "American Made" Awards. How is that for bragging rights?
I have been a fan of Lauren's blog for a while and last March, when Lauren launched her online bakery, I was thrilled for her. I love supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs, and I especially enjoy spreading the word about my blogging friend's endeavors. Lauren kindly sent me three scrumptious samples of her baked goods and let me tell you, they did not last long in my house.

and one of my all-time favorite cookies: White Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies.

Lauren packages her baked goods in clear cellophane bags tied with cheerful pink and lavender ribbon and they arrive tucked snugly in a white bakery box. Each bag has a tag with her logo and a label with the name of the cookie printed on it, so if you are ordering her treats to send as a gift, your recipient will know exactly what they will be enjoying. Lauren's treats make the perfect gift for any occasion. She is always adding new items and also offers seasonal baked goods.
