Welcome to my first The Side Dish post!
I’m thrilled to tell you about my kitchen photo shoot with my friend Shelly Porsch Chetty of SPCCreative Photography. I first met Shelly several years ago when we both joined the Katy Social Media Mastermind Group, and I liked her instantly. Shelly is warm, friendly, and passionate about photography. She specializes in lifestyle photography, high school senior portraits and personality-filled adult and corporate portraiture.
When I first started working on my blog’s re-design, I knew I wanted Shelly to photograph my kitchen photo shoot. She is incredibly fun to work with. I prefer being behind the camera more than I do in front of it, but Shelly made me forget about my camera shyness and made me feel comfortable being photographed. It helped that we talked about food and cooking for most of the photo shoot, and that topic always puts a smile on my face! Shelly captured my vision for a light and bright aesthetic and I couldn’t be more pleased with how my photographs turned out. Shelly was also fantastic at helping me narrow down which photographs to choose and her guidance was invaluable.
Shelly’s passion for capturing people’s unique personalities and special moments through her lens shows through in every photograph she takes. Shelly is also passionate about giving back to the community. She provides remembrance photography to parents who have suffered the loss of a baby through her involvement with the non-profit, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. If you live in Houston and are looking for a photographer, be sure to talk to Shelly; you’ll be glad you did. You can visit her website to look through her portfolio, and to see more photographs of my kitchen photo shoot, visit Shelly’s blog.
Thank you, Shelly, for making my kitchen photo shoot memorable and so much fun! You were wonderful to work with and I will always be happy to make bruschetta for you.
