Lovely to see the polenta as the hero. I love it on its own when piping hot. Left over polenta pan fried (scrambled) with olive oil or butter is just the best for me.

Love polenta and winter is not complete without it! I agree, I am a purist too when it comes to making it. Won’t have a bar of the instant polenta that is ready in 5 minutes. It’s much better stirred for 40-50 minutes on a stovetop! I’d love to try making my recipes for semolina squares and gnocchi alla romana with polenta instead as a gluten-free alternative.

One of my favourite Winter dishes! I love it on its own too, or any other way it comes! I make mine in the pressure cooker so that I don’t have to stir it! I have also always made it just with water. I didn’t imagine making it with stock or milk.
